Sally Scarpace has passed away on December 18, 2005 at age 84
in Florida after a long illness.

It is with great sadness that I have just learned that Sally Scarpace has passed away.
(My relationship to Sally is through my mother, Angeline A. (Scarpace) Pappas. My Mother's Father (Mario Scarpace) and Sally's husband's Father (Lawrence Scarpace) were brothers. My Mother and Mike were 1st cousins.)
I wish to offer my sincere condolences to all of her family, especially Mike and Bonnie.
All of my memories of Sally are fond ones. When I first arrived in California, Sally and Mike would throw wonderful "Pool Parties",
and were __SUPER HOSTS__.
Sally was always a wonderful and gracious person. While I have not been in contact with her for years, I still feel a loss on her passing.
Sally - You will be missed by all of your family and friends - REST IN PEACE.

Dear Mike and Bonnie.........Mario and I were so sad to hear of your Mother's passing. We both have such fond memories of your Mother and Father. Sally was such an up person and you knew if she was attending a function, you would be in for a treat. She was always ready with a funny story or joke.
We recall when we first came to California in 1961, Sally and Mike welcomed us into their home with open arms and we felt that warmth that they both extended so freely.
We once visited Sally in Florida with Rose and George many years ago. She had a lovely apartment and seemed very happy there. We had such a good time with her. She will be sorely missed....May she rest in peace.

Dear Bonnie and Mike.....It saddens to me to hear about the passing of your Mom. I, too remember the pool parties. It's where I learned to swim! I enjoyed her company as she always made me laugh. To be able to bring laughter to others is quite an art-- Aunt Sally has gone from pool parties to "heavenly" parties. She'll keep the Angels laughing. May she rest in peace.

Dear Mike & Family and Bonnie,
We extend our deepest sympathy, prayers & caring to you over the death of you Mother.
Remembering Sally:
Sally & Mike, Mike Jr. & Bonnie Scarpace became a special part of our lives when we moved from Buffalo, NY to the San Fernando Valley in July of 1959. Through our cousins Virge & George Boisvert and Tony & Bea Rine we met our cousin Mike & Family.
It was easy to feel as if we had always known Mike & Sally, because of the warm welcome we received. Grand summer pool parties at their home with endless “Scarpace” cousins. Always a laugh, plenty of food and just great family times.
Our first California New Years Eve was in 1959. We had a party in our little rented home in Panorama City ---- Mike & Sally were with us ------- Sally had the idea of everyone dressing in costume – it was a memorable evening & just plain fun!!
This comfortable relationship lasted through the years - many a gathering big & small, (too many to numerate), – always more exciting, because Sally was there.
A bright woman of many careers, many talents who “told it as was.” You always knew what Sally was feeling, because she was honest with herself & others.
Our son Frank was the ring bearer in Bonnie’s Wedding. We gave a Bridal shower for Bonnie at our home. Lots of fun games with Sally’s help. Sally was a skilled seamstress also - - -- she made Bonnie’s gown - - - just “fall down, drop dead gorgeous!”
Of course, all the pride that Sally & Mike had for both children over flowed - - - those wonderful football moments for Mike Jr. were displayed on a wall in their house with all of Mike’s photos & awards.
We only saw Sally twice after she moved to Florida, once when she visited the LA area and again when we visited her with Mario & Jo in Florida. Easy to pick up where we left off, because with Sally, neither time nor distance diminished the warmth of the relationship.
The poet states, “There is no death if one remembers.” and we shall always remember Sally & Mike. May they rest in God’s Eternal Peace.
